Charity coins always failed the same way: the “charity wallet” was just someone's wallet. Alms replaces the promise with a mechanism. Everything this site claims, you can check on-chain.

The charity is baked in
Every coin launches on Pons with its fee recipient set to a charity vault: a small contract with no owner and exactly one exit. It is set at launch and nobody can ever change it.

Trading is the donation engine
Nobody donates. People trade. Every buy and sell pays the coin's donation tax (1–10%, chosen at launch) straight into the vault in USDG. The vault's only exit is sweep(), which anyone can call. There is no admin withdrawal.

Settlement ends in a real donation
Vault balances pool per charity and go to that charity's address at The Giving Block, which pays the nonprofit in dollars. Each batch ends by posting the delivery hash on-chain, which is what the ledger renders. Every hash resolves on a block explorer.
The badge is a computation
The verified mark only appears when a live chain read shows feeRecipient == canonical vault. It is recomputed on every page load, never stored. If a coin's fees were ever repointed, the badge would disappear the same block.

What we don't claim
Trading is not a tax-deductible donation. Alms' settlement wallet is the donor of record with The Giving Block. You get the on-chain trail, not a receipt in your name. Costs come out first. Bridging and gas are real, and listed on every batch. Coins are still memecoins. The routing is guaranteed; the price is not. Alms takes 0% of the charity flow.
